simple 5 minute response W r i t i n g
I just need a simple 5 minute response I just don’t have Time to do it.
After doing the reading, watching the lectures, and the screenings for our introductory week, provide your initial thoughts about the material in 150-200 words. You don’t need to provide a summary or any specific analysis of the material. This is a place to think through your initial impressions of the course with your peers. You can use the following questions to jumpstart your thinking:
- Did anything stand out as surprising or unexpected in the readings? Was this what you thought TV studies would be like?
- What did you think of the screenings? Were they more or less engaging than you expected?
- Do you have any lingering questions that stand out based on the readings, lectures, and screenings?
After writing your own thoughts, please provide a 100-150 word response to one of your peers contributing to their ideas.
respond to this: Something that stood out to me as unexpected in the readings is when the author mentioned all these different ways that keep people engaged when watching TV. I did not think TV studies was going to be this way but I am interested to learn more about different forms to watch TV. I thought the screenings were really interesting. I didn’t think the screenings were going to be interesting but surprisingly I found them more engaging than I thought. I am excited that I will get to watch many different types of screenings, especially ones I wouldn’t normally watch. I haven’t watched any of the screenings that we will be watching in class this semester so I have no idea what to expect. So far I am enjoying this class and gaining knowledge on different forms of television. I am interested in learning about how different cultures are portrayed in television. I do not have any questions about the readings, lecture’s or screenings.
