STUDENT SUBMISSIONS:
student 1: There were many differences between the kind of government for the federalist and anti-federalist. The federalist were worried that with the lack of a centralized government it would lead to anarchy and disorder to the people. However, the antifederalist did not want a centralized government claiming that it would turn out to be raising taxes, dictatorial and limiting the liberties of many citizens. Second, federalist supported the constitution and a much stronger national republic, while the anti-federalist opposed ratification and supported a much smaller localized government. Federalist did not support the bill of rights, while anti-federalist believed a bill of rights was necessary because the constitution was not enough protection for individual rights.
student 2:
There are so many differences between federalist and non-federalist governments. I’m going to list three of them
1- Anti-federalist did not want a federal government because they believed that they would increase taxes, eliminate the states, have dictatorial power, and put an end to individual’s rights. On the other hand, federalists wanted a government because they feared of the chaos and anarchy in the country with out a government.
2- Anti- federalists opposed the constitution because they were afraid about the dangers of concentrated power then about the dangers of paper will, While federalist supported the constitution for some of the same reasons the anti-Federalists opposed it.
3- Federalists did not want a bill of rights because they thought the the new constitution was sufficient, while anti-federalist wanted bill of rights to protect their rights.
Student 3: There are so many differences between Federalists and Anti-federalists. Anti federalists did not like the idea of centralized government because they thought that the federal government could be dictatorial and the federal government could raise the taxes in any way they wanted. Additionally, Anti federalists thought that the federal government could be limiting the liberties of its citizens. Federalists did not like the idea of Anti federalist government because they thought that there would be lack of centralized government and this could cause the chaos, anarchy and disorder. Anti federalists were very afraid of a strong government, especially one dominated by the wealthy. Federalists believed the Constitution was sufficient to protect individual rights. Anti-federalists believed the Constitution was not sufficient to protect individual rights. Anti federalists supported that the states were free agents that should manage their own revenue but federalists favored central financial policies
