ENC 1101: ARGUMENTATION AND PERSUASION

This three-four page essay should be typed in 12 pt. font, double-spaced, and have standard one-inch margins. Your name, professor’s name, class, and due date should be placed in the upper left-hand corner of the first page. The title should be centered, and your last name and page number should be in the upper right-hand corner of each page.

The essay’s introductory paragraph should contain a lead, your points of development, and a concise thesis. There should be well-developed body paragraphs, each with a topic sentence that limits the subject to be covered. In the conclusion, students should draw connections between their main points of argument. Student must use at least THREE SOURCES, only two of which can be found on the electronically. 

You must demonstrate proper MLA documentation for your sources in order to pass this course. When using quotes, students should refer to the MLA style section of The Little, Brown Handbook. Cite Your Sources. TOPICS YOU CAN CHOOSE: As you formulate your argument, provide actual examples, based on your research, to support your position. Be sure to acknowledge and logically dismantle opposing points of view along the way.? To what extent does television/film/music/etc. contribute to the dehumanization of minorities?? What are the three best forms of investment right now? Property, IRA, Roth IRA, Stocks, Bond, Funds…?? Examine the decline in male college student enrollment. Provide an argument, back by supports, as to why this phenomenon has occurred in the last ten, twenty, or even forty years.
