WRITTEN PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

1. This integration paper should be written in APA (6th edition manual) style formatting (See sample in the APA manual): including proper running head, pagination, title page, headings (include an introduction that CLEARLY delineates what the paper will cover, proper transitioning from topic to topic, conclusion etc.), and references (properly cited in the body of the paper and in the reference section). The body of the paper (not including title page, etc.) should be 5-7 pages in length and be free of grammar, spelling, or syntax errors.

2. The purpose of this paper is to present a personal theoretical model of counseling. This paper answers questions such as “What creates brokenness?” and “What constitutes effective healing?”, synthesizing a Christian worldview on the answers to these questions with evidence-based practice from one of the theoretical viewpoints outlined in the text. Analyzing what you have learned from this course and the text, outline a therapeutic model that addresses psychological healing from an integrated framework. Your outline should address assessment, diagnosis, and effective treatments from the viewpoint of your theoretical model.

3. Body of paper should contain at least 5 different professional citations that describe empirically-based treatment recommendations for your preferred theoretical viewpoint. These references should be properly cited in the body and in the reference section. References must be up to date and professional (e.g., articles from peer-reviewed journals, primary sources [as opposed to secondary compilations). Be careful to reference EVERY fact you state in your paper. All facts should be followed by primary sources (texts and/or journal articles). Be sure to follow 6th edition APA style formatting, including doing and/or download information.
