For the final writing assignment in this course, you will write a 2-3 page (500 – 1000 words) about what you have learned in this course. You can discuss concepts in the course that were particularly important or salient to you, which parts of the course interested you the most, which parts of the course you think yourself or others should spend more time learning about, and how sociological concepts can fit into everyday life.

Reflection essays give you an opportunity to become more self-aware and encourage self-assessment. You have the chance to connect what you learn in the classroom environment to what you are seeing or experiencing in the real world. You can confront some of the feelings, attitudes, beliefs, or values that you had when you began the course, or discuss how these things have changed over the course of the semester.

All essays must use APA or ASA formatting for in-text citations and reference list and be free of spelling and grammatical errors. Your assignment should be typed, double-spaced, 12-point font. Each essay should between 500-1000 words in length, with one-inch margins on all sides and page numbers. Please do not vary your font, font size, spacing, or punctuation in an effort to overcome the length requirement.

This paper is by no means a blow by blow summary of the course. Papers that do this will receive no credit. You must genuinely reflect on the material covered during the semester and discuss why it was significant to you in some way.

This paper will be due at the end of the semester through Canvas 5/10 by 11:59 pm
